The Office of Marketing & Communications (MarCom) builds awareness and engagement by sharing SRJC’s story in ways that inspire pride, trust, and support.
We promote SRJC’s programs, services, and community impact while reflecting the college’s values of equity, inclusion, and excellence. Our work strengthens the SRJC brand, supports enrollment and student success, and fosters community partnerships through strategy, design, writing, photography, video, and digital communications.

Intake Process
- Submit a Request: Departments complete an intake form with project goals, timelines, and audiences.
- Consultation: MarCom reviews the request to ensure alignment with institutional priorities and capacity.
- Plan & Timeline: We provide recommendations on scope, deliverables, and schedule.
- Creation & Review: The MarCom team develops drafts or assets, collaborating with requestors for feedback.
- Delivery & Implementation: Final materials are shared, and MarCom may assist with distribution.
Effective communication is a shared responsibility. MarCom brings marketing expertise; departments contribute subject matter expertise. Timely responses and realistic timelines ensure quality outcomes. Because our resources focus on districtwide priorities, we may need to delay, scale back, or decline requests, but we always work to provide guidance and alternatives.
